On AUGUST 8, 1914, Unity Valkyrie Mitford, often called "Hitler's English girlfriend," was born. (Note the date: 8-8-14.) According to her mother, she was conceived in the small mining town of Swastika, Canada. Unity first met Hitler in Munich in 1934. When Britain declared war on Germany in 1939, she attempted suicide. Hitler had her sent home to Britain. She never renounced her love for Adolf Hitler nor her belief in National Socialism.
