AUGUST 8 - On this day in 1929 (8-8-29), Gudrun Himmler was born, daughter of Reichsfuehrer-SS Heinrich Himmler. She survived the War. After some mistreatment by the Allies in 1945 & 1946, she went on to have a normal life. She was active with "Stille Hilfe" (an organization which aided persecuted former SS members), & married Wolf Dieter Burwitz, an official in the pro-National Socialist "National Democratic Party." She was a friend & comrade of NEW ORDER founder Matt Koehl. Gudrun died on May 24, 2018, at the age of 88. Left: With her father in 1938.
