EARTHQUAKES HIT VANCOUVER'S SUNSET BEACH 2 YEARS IN A ROW, HIGH-RISES LEAN LEFT & RIGHT: Dec 4, 2024 Dream: I own south facing condo on high floor of tall narrow white concrete high-rise close to shore of Sunset Beach. Last year an earthquake hit & made my building lean right (west). I considered selling my condo after that but didn't. This year a 2nd earthquake hit & made my building lean opposite direction (east) as if to correct it, but it still leans too much left. Many other highrises around mine also now lean (both directions; west & east). I ask my female realtor if I can even sell it now that this area looks unsafe. She warns no one will buy it (nor any condos in other buildings around me). I regret not selling last year. I ask if an investor who bought an entire highrise if his 1 year of profit from rent of all the tenants will cover his purchase. She says no, he'll only make up to 1,000,000 dollars so it won't cover his 100M purchase.
