I'll tell ol' @ Jimmy Chalmers of #auspol Labah fame something for free... The media are no longer reporting on #IRAN as a 'scuffle, conflict, middle east situ'... It's now called the __US-IRAN War__. Bro. And frankly, it's as good a time as any to revisit Social Security payments. If you ever wanted to steer it *towards* a #UBI / #WFH -friendly based system...b4 the inflation on this hits, & on all the #NDIS rorts!, ..now's the time. 'Rent Assistance' is far more complex these days, than it needs to be, &, it'll only ever get worse. And in turn, rorted __worse__. Not to mention, *all* the transfer payments are _far too_ close in payment amounts anyway. It might be making 'budgeting for the future' slightly quicker to do, ..but, then all you've done is cooked the books to ash...via the hard bake-in of __inflation__. Yes, you might have adjusted some of those *settings* already, but I'm making a bigger point here than that, & I know Jim at least knows that. What you want $ ranked is this: 1. Age Pension (tied to Pollie Superannuation-Access Age) 2. DSP 3. JS & AusStudy 4. YA (under 21) That's it. NO MORE age crap, no more "are you guys rooting?" invasive crap, no more rent crap, AND.. no more pretending ppl are entitled to the same!!, bcos, they fkn aren't entitled to the same amounts.
