BOTD March 2nd 1942 was singer Lou Reed, who I wrote about in 2019. But I could add a few points now that jump out to me in 2022 on the 40th anniversary of one of his most personal and revealing albums 'The Blue Mask' when Mercury conjoined his Venus and Mercury in Aquarius so he was at his most expressive about love. 1) He had zero planets in Cardinal signs. They were all in Fixed or Mutable signs. In fact, if you use Placidus all his Cardinal signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn are all intercepted - this seems odd given he was a pioneer but his energy was both stern and expressed flux and fluctuation. But I don't think he made decisions easily. 2) If his Asc is in Gemini - good for a wordsmith-his Neptune would be in the 5th is according to Ebertin "a love of beauty and art...wastefulness, self-glorification, mis-directed passion, seduction" and the divine child with total immersion in the imaginal world of creation. So that underscoress a midday birth time. Not only that but Neptune is also trine to that powerful triple conjunction of Saturn/ Uranus/Mars. So he probably felt quite god-like in his creations. Love and suffering are seen side by side and he had an eye for what is ugly about love. 3) Pluto conjunct Chiron in Leo looks like a personal trouble spot. He was able to dramatise his suffering and pain and living his life, growing up in public, morphing visibly. He could have been a playwright or novelist. His style is spoken rap, rarely fully sung, which lends to more autobiographical modes. They called him the 'grand dad' of punk but he had a shamanic feel to him too leading the way. 4) Asteroid Pandora is conjunct his Jupiter. Pandora unlocked all the evils in the world and Reed was master of describing perverse, degraded, violent, guilt-ridden, complex-driven life scenarios which he did with a detachment not easy for others who would be swamped by the disturbing emotional content. Reed was like a reporter on the front line at a war, commenting unflinchingly on all the evils he saw, but Hope was last out of the box. 5) Asteroid Erato, muse of love, and asteroid Eros were conjunct 14-16 of Capricorn. He wrote about love in a way that dissects it yet does not miss the pure emotion and lyrical expression too, as in 'I'll be Your Mirror', 'Perfect Day and 'Heavenly Arms.' 6) Jupiter in Pisces is transiting his South Node/North Node/Moon axis so reminding us of the role he played. And Mercury is at the same point in Aquarius reminding us of his powerful voice that he gave to all the marginals in life, all the funky people who he spoke up for. 7) The Blue Mask has a song about the assassination of J.F. Kennedy- arguably the most traumatic event that still has not been fully explained or full processed. It is poignant that the lyrics relate the shock is a dream that he would ever forget that event, as even today it should not be forgotten. https://www.facebook.com/ProteusAstrology/posts/328319381129421
