@K2xxSteve I remember on the FSX, I could not find it anywhere in any store so I called Microsoft to inquire on it. The American Division did not have anymore in Stock. but reached the South Asian Microsoft, for their English version, and they said they will look. Waited about 10 minutes and he comes back on the phone and says they only have 2 left unopened, not for resale or retail. I then said good I will buy 2 of them. The price was ridiculously Cheap. They sent it to me, and 8 days later I got it, and looked and I almost fell to the floor, these were Genuine original programmed DVD's when it first came out after all the bugs were removed from the original DVD. It had everything in it, all genuine, so I then called the guy again and he remembered me and said yea I found one more which was in a different location in the division, and I said I would buy it. Sold it to me and I ended up finally having each year one set to play and 2 sets for backups. He then confirms to me even in Europe it was all sold out, all gone in America and they had the last 3 sets and I was the last buyer to take their originals . As I said I got lucky for each year they came out with it. Never even gave it a thought that Microsoft would finally close up their division which they did and it has never returned since. All the program creators left some went to Steam and some went to other outfits. Its still that way today. I saw Steam offering their own version of FSX for almost 500 dollars and this was 3 years ago. The price is ridiculous. All it is basically is a copycat of FSX Ok. Same former members from Microsoft trying to make a buck for all their work. So now they want to push this X-Box version which means you have to pay to play it every time you use it. You have to buy the box and its very sensitive if you try to rig it to avoid paying the fees, and they can block you of playing the game. If I were you be careful of paying a lot of that money to them, so if you want yea you can pay 500 bucks for the Steam DVD version because you can play and play it many times without costing you more money. They sometimes put up a sale like for 300 bucks to entice you to buy it. I would go that way and avoid that X-Box bullshit. Here I will let this much of a cat out of the bag when I got the FSX. Microsoft sold me their 3 FSX versions Not for Resale or Retail for a total of 30 bucks!!!! They did not want it and nobody asked for it so they literally gave it away. It was not that popular in South East Asia!!!!! They tried promoting it but it never caught on according to the guy I talked to at Microsoft. I was stunned by that when he told me. hehehehehehe. Wow. For a small time period it went out like hotcakes from the stores in USA, and not so much in Europe and it was a bit popular in Great Britain and In Israel believe it or not. Most of the flight sim enthusiasts lived in USA primarily
