Monday June 29, 2026 #Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 The Silver Cord & The Return of the Spirit What happens the exact moment we die? 💡 There is no waiting in a hole in the ground. The real you—the spirit—instantly returns to the Heavenly Father. 📜 SCRIPTURE: #Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 "Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." 🛡️ SECOND WITNESS: 1 Corinthians 15:44 "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." 💡 COMMENTARY & REFLECTION: The "silver cord" is the spinal cord; the "pitcher and cistern" represent the biological metabolism and circulatory system. When metabolism stops, biological death occurs. Because our physical body is organic, it returns to the dust. But the spirit (the intellect of the soul) returns instantly to God. As Paul writes in #1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, we do not mourn without hope! Because Jesus rose again, those who have died in Him are already with Him in heaven. This isn't a secret "rapture"—it's the chronological order of events. At the 7th trump, those alive change into their spiritual bodies (ruach, meaning wind or breath of life).
