#YoureArrested #ELECTION The counterfeit endorsements that raised the hackles of St. Johns County Republicans in August 2024 have led to criminal charges nearly two years later — and months after a confidential executive order from Gov. Ron DeSantis, issued April 2, assigned the case to a prosecutor from outside the circuit. Five people were charged Monday in St. Johns County court. Two of them serve on the County Commission — one appointed to her seat by DeSantis — and a third sits on a municipal Commission in the county. County Commissioners Sarah Arnold and Christian Whitehurst, St. Augustine Beach Commissioner and former Mayor Dylan Rumrell, political consultant Briana Jordan and Jamie Lynn Johnson each face two misdemeanor counts stemming from the mailing of tens of thousands of voter guides: creating an unauthorized voter guide, in alleged violation of Florida Statutes 106.1436, and conspiracy, under 777.04. https://floridapolitics.com/archives/806022-st-johns-county-commissioners-charged-in-fake-endorsement-scheme/
