Flashback: My video on Tim Schafer: Marxist, Feminist, Scammer. A lot of other game designers could be given whole deep dives, but Tim stands out as one of the first major and old school game designers to go "woke". While a lot of people want to make fun of how Tim ended up in the last decade or so, the writing was on the wall long before #GamerGate. Tim Schafer started out as a designer at LucasArts, working on titles like the Monkey Island games and Day of the Tentacle. Tim would start to take on a leading role for his future titles, starting with being the project director and writer of 1995's Full Throttle. Full Throttle is a fine enough adventure game, but there were feminist elements to the game with the plot being about having a woman find out she is the heir to a massive company, and her right to the company was hidden from her due to a man. Said woman was also part of some tuff female biker gang. Tim's next brainchild would be 1998's Grim Fandango, an episodic adventure game. One episode has open Marxist elements in it, with a group of would be Marxist hipster-types giving the player a Marxist book that he then gives to some worker bees. The bees read the Marxist literature and have a workers strike. You could say there is some light feminist elements with the main character being a simp for a random woman, but the Marxist part is more in your face. The next notable work from Tim is 2009's Brütal Legend. The game is a celebration of heavy metal music and is also the first time Tim worked with Kabbalah jew Jack Black. Brütal Legend also features various subversive musical artists from metal in it, such as Ozzy Osbourne (Crowleyte and liberal), Lemmy Kilmister (anti-racist), and Rob Halford (gay). While the game is supposed to be an over the top heavy metal epic, the plot grinds to a halt to be some Tim Burton-esque sob story for the female main character who turned to evil because the main character broke her heart. Funny enough, even the jew Bobby Kotick decided to not fund Brütal Legend and said Tim has a bad work ethic, missing milestones of game development. Lots of people wanted to defend Tim at the time, but time proved Bobby right. On a smaller note, Tim also worked on the Costume Quest series, which features the typical Burger King Kids Club diversity. In 2014, the infamous event known as #GamerGate happened, and Tim was one of the major developers willing to come out and attack those that supported the movement and defend (((Anita Sarkeesian))), eventually giving tens of thousands of dollars to Anita and even having her be credited in one of his future games: Psychonauts 2. In 2015, Tim was a host of the Game Developers Choice Awards at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco. He used a sock puppet to mock the #NotYourShield hashtag which was a part of #GamerGate. This moment was met with some criticism by some of his fellow developers for forcing politics into an award show, and became a meme. In 2012, while developing what would become the video game Broken Age, Tim claimed his studio did not have the money to finish this throw back to 90s point-and-click adventure games. Tim launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their new game, asking for $400,000, which they reached in less than 24 hours. By the end of the campaign, the game raised $3.3 million (33). How much of this money donated to Tim is what he gave to Anita? After revealing the game they were developing, Tim also announced the game features (((Hollywood))) talent like Elijah Wood, Wil Wheaton (liberal freemason from Star Trek TNG), Pendleton Ward (creator of Adventure Time), and once again Jack Black. Even with all the money Tim raised, they still ended up running out of money and only sold the first half of Broken Age, using the sells from it to fund finishing the second half of the game Broken Age has the player control two characters, one of which is a Black girl. The big twist is that both player characters are being used by an evil alien race that kidnaps young women to harvest their DNA as they have ruined their own genetics. They can be seen as an allegory for jews stealing White girls and using them to breed after centuries of inbreeding. Tim would have yet another Kickstarter for another game: Spacebase DF-9. They asked for yet another $400k. They would get the money they asked for, but once again claim to have run out of time and money, then dumped the game and left it to die. Third time's the charm. Knowing his game Psychonauts had a cult following, Tim once again had a fundraiser to make Psychonauts 2. However, rather than use Kickstarter, Tim used a website called "Fig". What Tim did not disclose is that he is on the advisory board for Fig, and Fig has been called a scam. More in the comments. Psychonauts 2 would go on to have the usual diversity, feminism, and anti-natalism you'd expect from Tim at this point. https://odysee.com/@StagedChessboard:a/Tim-Schafer-Woke-Marxist-Feminist:6
