Anyone who has grown a garden, be it of vegetables or flowers, knows that the process isn't always a walk in the garden: weeds are tenacious, stubborn, and prolific, and little bugs (this year we're fighting aphids on the pepper and eggplants) multiply rapidly and alarmingly. That being said, the garden is also a place of peace and calmness, and part of having one involves enjoying it, strolling its paths, marveling at the growth and abundance of it all. There's something to being surrounded by so much intense life and beauty . . . This is one of my newest paintings, which I call Garden Musings.
