Hay: for those of us with acreage but not enough to grow our own alfalfa (not to mention all the equipment needed), it can be a yearly challenge. We're always grateful when we can find a hold-out farmer who 1) still makes small bales and 2) hasn't planted GMO crops. Wow -- we'd love it if someone wouldn't mind the weeds (we don't; neither do the goats) and reach for organic, but there are only so many miracles one can ask for in one's life . . . I call this painting, Shadow Shifting. I love the way the clouds dance across the sky, sometimes hiding the sun, other times letting it peek through, and never being particularly predictable.
