@Heartiste China has been working towards becoming a world superpower for about 100 years. There is an excellent book by Michael Pillsbury called ”the One Hundred Year Marathon”, it discusses this very topic. China has been actively working to kill Americans since Vietnam, when they openly funded, armed, and supported the northern Vietnamese army. Their weapons and tactics simply changed. Instead of funding a proxy-war in Vietnam to kill Americas and expand Communism, they use economics and drugs. They flood our country with virtually no-cost fentanyl into areas where jobs have left to China. They pay others to kill and maim our soldiers. They buy up our foreign debt to hold us hostage. They buy up AMC movie theaters to control Hollywood. They pay off the NBA and Disney to praise brutal communism. China has always been our enemy. The Soviet Union was never a real threat, despite having nuclear weapons. Economics is where the true power is and the Soviet system was simply too flawed and too unable to adapt and adjust to thrive. China gets it, economics is the greatest weapon of them all. China blended the best aspects of American capitalism ideas with totalitarian government. And with over 1 billion people, China was able to adjust and become a superpower. Any country that can unleash a virus worldwide, dodge all accountability, and then sell useless masks and falty tests that they make DESERVES to become a superpower.
