THE UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT TO BURY GEORGE LINCOLN ROCKWELL IN A U.S. MILITARY CEMETERY On August 29, 1967, the followers of assassinated American National Socialist leader George Lincoln Rockwell attempted to bury him in the US military cemetery in Culpeper, Virginia. Rockwell had been murdered 4 days earlier when he was ambushed a short distance from his headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, As a veteran of World War II & the Koren War, he had an absolute right to be interred in a military cemetery. But orders came down from the Pentagon that the funeral was not to be permitted. A company of military policeman under the command of a major general (!) was dispatched to prevent Rockwell's burial in Culpeper. About 50 National Socialists & an equal number of local citizens turned out for the funeral. After some skirmishing with the MPs, during which 3 National Socialists were arrested, the funeral procession was turned back. Commander Rockwell was subsequently cremated & a private ceremony was held in Arlington. Many people know this narrative. However, what is not so widely known is that the general in charge of the detachment that blocked the funeral was Carl C. Turner - who turned out to be the most corrupt general officer in the history of the US military! A few years after the Culpeper incident, Turner was imprisoned & stripped of all military honors after he was convicted of selling US military ordinance to criminal gangs in Chicago & using army aircraft to smuggle stolen alcohol. Such was the officer who was charged with preventing the burial of Naval Commander George Lincoln Rockwell, a decorated 20-year veteran who had served his country faithfully in two wars. It shows Rockwell's successor, Matt Koehl, with his back to the camera, pointing an accusatory finger at Turner (short man in dark uniform). #GeorgeLincolnRockwell #LincolnRockwell #NationalSocialistHistory #AmericanNationalSocialism Source: Volker Zorn on Gab http://frontnationalsuisse.hautetfort.com/archive/2025/08/30/white-power-make-white-aryans-great-again.html
