AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF... this area of #BC is DARK... verrrrry dark and non #urban for a good 60+kms. all directions. When the deer arent triggering the garage security light sensor, they are slowly casually quietly crunching grass out of its range. Ok: if you are a #farmer rancher cowboy or rural person, you know a better term... and know the sound I cant describe. After 15 mins. , my old eyes still can barely manage a visual dark-resolution enuf to define the starry/cloudy sky behind the dark mtn range and the dark foreground lawn range, so I use my 1 & half good ears... Not sure what to call it than crunching, bet theres even a scientific term better than that... But its so dark and ALSO SO QUIET OUT HERE no factories industries traffic generators or ANYTHING more than 4 specific times of day, and no village town city light pollution.... I can tell you I can see their outlines in my mind, the grass or whateverit is ripping up and being crunched... in the dark. Quick headlamp on, glowing eyeballs/obvious white taildeers all over their front sprawling green area, lamp off, and soon returm to the.... ripping?... of each mouthful of whatever they are liking to eat right now. No shame here: I delight in the little things.... and these things arent stature little just IGNORED BY MODERN LIVING little... light off, all dark, I can picture their bodies still there in the murk, and can hear the RIPS each mouth-pull. Sometimes its awesome to get the chance to just connect to old reality and things this SHT 'modern' society stole from all of us. I was born a century or more too fkn late.... Im going to miss all this when I go. Perfect time to go.
