"I made a post saying that I’m gay — not queer — and the response was bigger than I ever expected. But this video isn’t about rehashing the argument or trying to convince anyone to agree with me. It’s about what happened next. The backlash got me thinking about something much bigger: how difficult it can be for gay men to use our voices, tolerate disagreement, and be ourselves when we know it may cost us approval. A lot of us grew up learning to be agreeable, impressive, and easy to accept — the “best little boy in the world.” But coming out shouldn’t mean leaving one closet only to build another. In this video, I share what happened after the post went viral and lessons I think gay men can take from it: owning your voice, tolerating disagreement, having the courage to be different, keeping your sense of humor, and refusing to hide who you really are just to be popular. You don’t have to agree with me. But I hope you’ll speak for yourself." #gayman #GayNotQueer #GayTherapist #mentalhealth #lgbtq #comingoutstory #gayrelationship #psychology 12m58s Aug 9, 2026 Therapy for Gay Men I’m Not “Queer.” Here’s Why Gay Men Need to Speak Up. - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhOQHpKoupM LGB International https://www.lgbinternational.org/ About | Gays Against Groomers https://www.gaysagainstgroomers.com/about
