Forgiveness does not mean unlocking the door. A childhood wound I thought was healed rose up again. Fear. Guilt. Exhaustion. Then my pastor asked one quiet question: "What are you going to do about this?" I said, "I don't know." But somewhere underneath, I did. Forgiveness hands justice back to God. It does not hand anyone the keys to hurt you again. Grace and boundaries are not enemies. They walk together. The trauma isn't gone. But I am no longer only reacting out of fear.
