Some people don't believe the Gospels at all, thus those detractors say, no virgin there, and others says, the word 'virgin' don't belong in Luke 1:27, but I think most people realize Maryam was expressing she had not copulated with any man, noted in the semitic 'expression of sayings' in Luke 1:34.
