I just want to thank everyone for your prayers for my dad. I read your DMs when I have time, so thank you! My dad had surgery months ago and has been in and out of a rehab nursing facility and the hospital ever since. It has been difficult for everyone especially dad. His blood sugar level went way up over 600 when he was in a nursing facility because they fed him the worst food possible. On December 24th the family decided to bring dad home and care for him ourselves. At 90 years old he has had good days and bad days, but he is improving SO MUCH now that we make his meals. He eats mostly meats now and very low carbohydrates. His blood sugar is still a little high as you can see but he is doing so much better! Before surgery he took no diabetes medication. In the hospital and nursing facility they were giving him 3 diabetes medicines and 3 insulin shots a day all while feeding him the worst food possible. Today? He is taking no medications and one shot a day. I think in another week or two he will be doing even better and hopefully no more shots. I cant thank you enough for all of your kindness and prayers. Gab, you are my family. You dont get that anywhere else!

I almost lost my temper big today at work. A coworker lady opened a large flat package with a recruitment poster for our program and said it’s now fixed. I asked her what was wrong with the old one and she said it had a White child on it and she fixed it by ordering one with a black child!
I said this area is primarily White! That represents our culture. (Feeling enraged) She said she’d seen a few blacks around and fixed it with …diversity. I said well there’s much more diversity with White. Brown eyes and dark is what you get with blacks. White people have blue, green and brown eyes. Many more combinations. Putting a red headed child with green eyes would be diverse. You could have put that on there. My heart is still racing a bit.
