It was wrong to adopt Christianity in Iceland in the year 1000.   Odin God was born in 1333 BC. He is a direct descendant of Thor God who is from 3000 BC. Odin is descended from the kings of Troy who fled after the fall of Troy and later founded Rome, London, Paris, and Georgia. But Odin remained and later became one of the kings of Troy.   He was a king in the Troy, Turkey   who had been deceived by magic where a man took his appearance and had Odin expelled from the kingdom. This was the beginning of Odin's quest to learn magic, runes and higher powers. He came from the Troy, Turkey to central Europe and became king of part of Europe but then went to Scandinavia and Sweden When the king of Sweden heard of Odin's expected arrival, he sent a message ahead of him and asked Odin to become his king and the king of Sweden. It was decided to speak one official language in all of Odin's territory or the Æsir as he and his men of Troy were called. That is, the language of the Trojans or Æsir became the official language spoken throughout Scandinavia and much of Europe. The closest living language of this language today is Icelandic.     Odin was greatly loved and admired by his people. He healed men and animals. There are stories about this. When Odin fell ill in his old age in Sweden, the Swedes were very sad and they could not bear to lose him. On his deathbed, Odin asked to be tattooed and to put on runes that would let all the dead go with him to Godheim. After Odin had been tattooed with these runes, Odin took a spear and stabbed himself in the side and died. This was a great comfort for the Swedes and all his people in Europe as they now knew that they would all go to Odin in Godheim unconditionally after the death. Since he took all the dead with him. This is a fundamental difference between religions that came later such as Judaism, Christianity and other religions. Since there are no conditions, let alone sacrifices, to get to Godheim (the modern meaning of heaven) after these actions of Odin.   Godheim is a giant mansion with 501 floors and Odin has one mansion there and Thor has one too. But Godheim is not the same as Valhalla.
