A few months ago, I was quoted $6,500 for a c-section at 1 of the ONLY vet hospitals of only 3 available during off hours in my WHOLE STATE (KY). I had to let them put $6,500 on my credit card before they would even LOOK at her. Thank God she did not get c-section, but the bill was still $2,600!!! And the insurance, IF I could afford it for a dozen dogs, just pushes prices ever higher, just as it does for auto and human health services!
