Well… the ships arrived. And then they just… stayed. Dozens of taxpayer funded tankers are now floating off the Australian coast for months because the storage tanks are full. We’re literally paying $30k–$90k a day in parking fees while the diesel sits there wondering if it’ll ever see a ute. Captains are growing beards and seagulls are nesting on the railings. Mission: secure the fuel supply. Result: Australia’s most expensive maritime parking lot.
