The DST vs ST argument in our modern post-industrial context seems to be a proxy war between Night Owls and Early Birds. If you like getting up early and retiring early, you'll love year-round Standard Time. If you like sleeping in and drinking at pool parties until 9pm, you're a DST lover. The beanermobile invasion has added the wrinkle of auto and truck accidents occurring more frequently in morning darkness. Diversity has made once-White neighborhoods more dangerous to White children who will walk to school or to bus stops in morning darkness under a DST regime. In other words, prioritizing lifestyles according to healthy natural rhythms of Nature is taking a backseat to human-induced social calamities.
