Beta male placating of women isn't born of a feeling of superiority. It comes from a place of fear. "I will lose her if I make her angry". Tragically, it is the beta male's fear which will lose her, and make her angry. A man who avoids confrontation -- or even the spectre of confrontation -- has subcommunicated weakness, not superiority or moral righteousness. He can't be depended upon to put his foot down when it needs putting down. Supplication is the antithesis of seduction. So, yes, standing ground with a woman might make her angry, but once the shock of it wears off, he will be repaid tenfold later with her unbidden hornt.
