The Golden Rule is a suicide letter in an open air sanitarium. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" sounds like airtight moral logic, until you grapple with the reality that all parties must agree to the rule, and furthermore must be capable of abiding it. If even one party refuses to uphold the rule -- that is, expect to be treated well while *not* treating outgroups similarly -- or is behaviorally incapable of respecting the rule, then the Golden Rule becomes a template for the Golden Rube. It becomes a blueprint for endless exploitation by cheaters. To follow the Golden Rule successfully is to do so only with like-minded others. The Golden Rule can only function, therefore, within a closed system. Outside that system, the Golden Rule requires a shared moral sentiment that racial reality proves is nonexistent.
