This is Noraly Beijer presenting the Dutch national news program *NOS 8 Uur Journaal*. I painted it twenty years ago, after watching the news one evening and wondering what I was actually looking at. I decided to take a photo of my television screen (one of those TVs with a bulky back) to freeze time and use it as a starting point for a painting. As it turned out what I was watching was a candy-colored setting with a big ol' tank in it.
