The 2004 National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) Adult Treatment Panel III (ATP III) guidelines was the blueprint used to expand the market for #statins. 8/9 members of that NCEP ATP III panel had direct, personal financial ties to the MANUFACTURERS of statins.
