I don't agree with the arguments of this article. They were ONCE true, but far less so now. Also, it's reasonable to expect those who are NOT paying for their #education to deliver real value to those who ARE paying - e.g. hard-working #Taxpayers in one of the trades workforces. Why should a #carpenter who works hard for their $money pay for some j-off to be #indoctrinated or to learn USELESS - perhaps even UNTURE - information? =================================== How higher "#education" has evolved in a global #economy. I previously discussed how #universities operate and the institutional forces reshaping modern higher education: the business imperatives, the admissions realities, the tenure system, the research incentives, and the FUNDING relationships that quietly influence the "#academic" environment. Now I ask the more important question: Given all of that, what does a university education actually deliver that nothing else can?
