The Nebraska Living Times
The Nebraska Living Times is a Christian newspaper located in western Nebraska. Our Faith Statement The Nebraska Living Times believes in the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, three in one. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, given by God without error. God the Holy Spirit inspired His chosen writers to write the different books of the Bible. We believe that Jesus came to earth as true God and true man, suffered and died for our sins and rose again, ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God. We believe that we have forgiveness of sins and salvation through Jesus Christ, Who creates faith in us through the Holy Spirit. We are saved only by grace—God’s undeserved love for us—not by anything we can do. Because we are saved we will spend eternity in heaven with the Lord! As Christians, we are given the Great Commission of sharing God’s truth with others so that they, through the Holy Spirit, may receive salvation and live eternally in heaven. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman, and that intimate sexual activity is to occur exclusively within that union. This statement does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of the Nebraska Living Time’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy and discipline, the Publisher has the final interpretive authority on the Bible’s application for this publication. Our Mission Statement The mission of the Nebraska Living Times to serve Christ and Him alone, and to share the Word of God, educate, empower, inspire, encourage and motivate readers in Christ. We strive to inspire readers to learn about God, to come to God and to share their faith within their sphere of influence—family, congregation, workplace and ultimately the world. Our goal is to present articles that will make readers take action in some way—whether to strengthen their faith, take action on an issue, share a message, or deepen their relationship with Christ.
