The installation of a socialist mindset
The difference between socialism and democratic socialism is that the latter is an economic dictatorship by whoever controls the biggest mob, and history, as well as the present, make clear just how vicious and destructive that mob can be.

Communism and its little brother socialism are sold to liberal cattle by comparing the reality of capitalism to the dream of communism, and reality never looks good compared to a dream.

In fact the indoctrinators go a step further and only talk about the worst things about capitalism, exaggerating them to the point of making the picture of capitalism they present a grotesque caricature, while ignoring the good; they do the opposite with communism: exaggerate the fantasy, and ignore the great evil it causes.

The reality is, no economic system makes life perfect for everyone. And none is perfectly fair. To paraphrase something Winston Churchill said (not about economics): capitalism is the worst economic system, except for all the others.

Those who support communism are suffering under the fantasy that government is more moral and fair and competent than the private sector, so giving government control of wealth will make life better for everybody. But a look at governments throughout history, and our own today, easily shows the flaw in that thinking.

And this applies especially to communist governments, which have already killed a hundred million people, and enslaved many times that number. And communism’s child liberalism is already doing a lot of harm, with much more coming when it completes its war machine.

As bad as the private sector might be, government is worse. And not just kind of a little bit worse, but infinitely worse. This is the big lie at the heart of socialism.

The private sector has big flaws in it, but government has even bigger ones, and the biggest one of all is that it can be a terrible master. The founders of the American nation knew that, and set up a republic that limited government power. We would be wise to remember why they did that.
