I tend to just 'lurk' in this group, interested to see what others enjoy in terms of pipes and tobaccos. But given the interest some have posted regarding unique pipes, I decided to post this pipe that was custom made for me in Croatia by a master pipe maker named Davorin Đenović. This pipe is very similar to one he has made for others, but the brass band is the unique addition I requested for myself. The uniqueness is permanently engraved on the bottom of the pipe. Furthermore, while most truly premium pipes are made from briar, this one is made from Morta wood. Morta is a type of wood that comes from the Brière marshes and is in the process of fossilization. It's also known as Brière Marsh Oak. These kinds of pipes are extremely rare.
