New song! In my sermon yesterday, we talked briefly about abiding in the vine. When the Lord told the disciples to abide in the vine, we argued that this is a timeless principle. Paul essentially makes similar points with the olive tree in Romans 11. We said, “By simply abiding in Christ, we would naturally bear fruit. The responsibility of the branch is not the production of fruit. The responsibility of the branch is to abide in the life of the tree.
