Another dispatch call raising concerns about a vulnerable adult. I recently obtained a public dispatch recording from Covington, MI in which a caller expresses concerns about an uncle’s will and the possibility of fraud. My estranged brother David Apger lives in this very small town - he took money from my mom’s bank account AFTER she passed - one excuse that he gave the judge was that he was reimbursing himself for buying a baby shower gift while my mom was on her death bed and couldn’t wake! Cases involving older adults and questions about wills, estates, and financial exploitation deserve careful attention. Families who raise concerns often want answers about what happened and whether those concerns were fully investigated. My goal in sharing public records is to encourage transparency and accountability - not to assume guilt. If there was an investigation, the public deserves to understand how those concerns were addressed.
