Apparently… a billboard was launched today, August 10, 2026, by the Florida Chamber of Commerce in Times Square. It names New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani Florida’s Economic Developer of the Year and says Thanks for the jobs, arguing that New York taxes and policies are helping push residents, businesses, and taxable income toward Florida. Florida Chamber CEO Mark Wilson said the point of the campaign is to contrast Florida’s lower-tax, business-friendly approach with Mamdani’s economic policies. The disclaimer on the billboard also makes clear that it was paid for by the Florida Chamber of Commerce and was not authorized or endorsed by Mamdani. #nyc #florida #economy
