Trump Pardons Former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn The president Wednesday, pardons Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn who was unfairly targeted in 2016 for prosecution by outgoing Obama administration officials. "It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon," Trump announced on Twitter. "Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!" Flynn was illegally investigated by outgoing Obama administration officials who reportedly opposed his appointment by Trump to be his National Security Advisor. The Democrat Judge handling Flynn's case has been reluctant to dismiss the case even after the Department of Justice dropped it.
