Lily Allen Worried About School Closures Amid Corona-Lockdowns The British singer and far left 'social justice warrior' took to Twitter to wade into the school closure debate after it was confirmed by government minister Michael Gove that only primary schools and years 11 and 13 will return to school on January 4, due to the wuhanvirus pandemic. "Where do we stand on schools reopening please?" the 35 year-old mother of school-age kids asked. "If the last few weeks of the last term were anything to go by, kids will be spending much of 2021 self-isolating." Apparently worried about her own kids' mental wellbeing, the It's Not Fair hitmaker agreed with another tweep who in now-deleted tweet said that children should be in school. "I agree, but if one kid in the year gets it (or parent or sibling) then rest of the year has to self isolate for 10 (or is it 14?) days," Allen tweeted. "My daughter spent 20 days of December in isolation. What’s better for small kids, no school, or no fresh air?"
