Trump's New Executive Order Bans Alipay, Other Chinese Apps The president's order Tuesday, will in 45 days, prohibit transactions with the companies behind eight Chinese apps, including Ant Group’s Alipay and Tencent’s QQ and WeChat Pay. Other apps in the list include CamScanner, QQ Wallet, SHAREit, VMate and WPS Office. Commerce Secretary said his department will “begin implementing the E.O.’s directives, including identifying prohibited transactions.” The latest order follows earlier ones from August that banned transactions with ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, and WeChat.
