WATCH: Candace Owens Responds To Backlash Over Her 'Juneteenth' Tweet, Warns About The Chinese Threat After congress passed a bill making June 19( 'Juneteenth') a national holiday in the United States, Biden signed the legislation Thursday. The holiday commemorates the day in 1865 when the last slaves in the south learned of their freedom. Conservative firebrand Candace Owens was not impressed. She dismissed the new holiday as "lame" in a tweet which swiftly drew the ire of the terminally online woke leftists. She responded later on Instagram, warning blacks in America that while left-wing Democrat leaders are distracting voters with trivial and divisive things like race-baiting and meaniningless holidays, the Chinese regime is aggressively pursuing it's global ambition to control the world. *Democrats have sold us out to China," she said. Owens also warned that the Chinese Communist Party funds divisive race-obsessed groups and schools in the U.S. to keep Americans divided and at each other's throat.
