Cuban Communist Regime Cracks Down On Anti-government Protest Thousands of Cuban citizens Sunday, took to the streets across the country for the first time in more than six decades to protest against deteriorating living conditions, and the lack of basic goods and services, including medical attention. The communist regime is grappling with the worst economic crisis in 30 years, which has resulted in acute shortages of food, fuel and medicine. The regime stepped up its crackdown against demonstrators and activists on Monday, cutting off most communications with the outside world, deploying security forces across the country and arresting more than 100 people, many of whose whereabouts remain unknown. Conservatives called out United States President Joe Biden and his fellow Democrat leftists for their early silence in the face of Cuban regime's brutal crackdown on the protest. Critics warn that Cuban regime's failed socialist and Marxist policies are what 'woke' leftists like congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez are promoting in America. Republican senator Ted Cruz(R-TX) on Monday, questioned an early tweet from U.S. State Department that seemed to assure Americans that the right to peaceful assembly is observed in Cuba. "How is this possible??" Cruz the son of a Cuban immigrant, tweeted. "The Biden State Dept told us that the Cuban communist dictatorship protects their 'right to peaceful assembly'?" https://www.keneci.com/feedbox#h.sm4fo0l5n3lp
