Justice Samuel Alito Mocks Boris Johnson, Other Foreign Leaders For Their Criticisms On US Supreme Court Abortion Ruling Supreme Court of The United States SCOTUS, in a ruling last month overturned Roe v. Wade -- a decades-old unconstitutional abortion ruling -- leaving abortion regulation up to the states. The court's majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization which was authored by Justice Samuel Alito, ruled that there is no constitutional right to kill an unborn baby. The ruling drew criticisms from world leaders including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Prince Harry and French President Emmanuel Macron. During a July 21 speech delivered at a Notre Dame Law School conference on religious liberty in Rome, Alito called out Johnson, Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for their past remarks blasting the SCOTUS ruling. “Over the last few weeks since I had the honor this term of writing, I think the only Supreme Court decision in the history of that institution that has been lambasted by a whole string of foreign leaders who felt perfectly fine commenting on American law,” Alito said to loud laughter. “One of these was former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
