Woe is he or she that fails to grasp how it has morphed into a weapon to be used against them, to influence both thoughts and actions, and worse... to provide vapid entertainment for the mindless so "actions" are headed off at the pass and kept at a minimum. Think... Sheeple just munching their life away awaiting the slaughter. It has been even more recent history that the Internet was billed as "the greatest invention ever so that all peoples can have access to knowledge and education". It too has been morphed into a weapon to be used against you and what are your best interests... especially in those departments of freedom and liberty. When both the camera and Internet went digital... a person has to adapt to that change and learn to use critical thinking and discernment to stay focused on the Truth or anything remotely resembling same. We have recent history of Covidiot Con and Ukraine as examples. Of course, if you did not get an education that taught you the skills of thinking critically, to always analyze and endeavor to get to the Truth, and to use discernment to accurately ID both shit and shine-ola... you are how the word Sheeple was coined.
