Controlling the narrative is necessary to establish a hegemony on your culture, history, and ultimately your mind. It is the driving force behind the deplatforming of individuals, but more importantly platforms that allow for expression truly independent of the official narrative. All it takes to destroy a false narrative is one person to speak the truth.
