Fauci invoked the Fifth before Congress, the Senate advanced Russia and Iran sanctions, and Scott Presler intensified pressure for the SAVE America Act. #NationalRightMorningBrief #GoRightNews #GoRight #PeterBoykin #Trump #Iran #SaudiArabia #Fauci #RandPaul #SAVEAmericaAct #ScottPresler #ElectionIntegrity #Congress #WhiteHouse #ConstitutionalistForLiberty Retaliation Needs a Mission, and Accountability Needs Due Process The Go Right with Peter Boykin Perspective Iran attacked American forces. The United States has the right to defend its troops, destroy the weapons threatening them and punish the forces responsible. But every new round of retaliation raises the same unanswered question: What ends this war? A pause that lasts only until the next surprise attack is not peace. A bombing campaign that continues without a measurable objective is not strategy. The administration should state whether its goal is protecting American bases, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, ending Iran’s nuclear program, dismantling its proxy networks or removing the Iranian government. Those are different missions with different costs, risks and endpoints. Congress should debate the scope of the conflict instead of waiting for another casualty report before remembering its constitutional responsibilities. Accountability at home must follow the Constitution as well. Congress has every right to investigate Fauci, federal research grants, the origins of COVID-19 and whether public officials misled the American people. Fauci also has the right to invoke the Fifth Amendment. Exercising that right is not a conviction. Investigators should use documents, financial records, sworn testimony and verifiable evidence. Political anger cannot replace proof. The Senate should also stop hiding behind procedure on election security. Hold the vote. Make every senator state a position. Verify citizenship while providing lawful voters with a free and accessible way to prove eligibility. Strength means responding when America is attacked. Liberty means defining the limits of that response. Accountability means following evidence wherever it leads. The Constitution requires all three.
