I appreciate the #Gap community and the programmers as well. This is the reason why. Platforms are great and we have lots of alternatives coming in. I have seen #Mastodon #Plemora #Friendica, #Movim which is based on #XMPP, #Scuttlebutt among many others. But all these are not good if you cannot express yourself accordingly. Freedom of speech is necessary for any of use. If I cannot express my self and feel fear about what I am about to post, or believe that my post is going to be deleted. It does not matter how good the alternative are. That is the problem we have with #FaceBook #YouTube and #Twitter. This is the problem that I have seen with #Foss and #OpenSource alternative. I do remember hearing my #Linux community that I use to go to saying: We do not discriminate #Feminist and #Gays are welcome to contribute. Who would have thought that their ideas took over the community and they have become monsters. They are held hostage by the same people they were welcoming in. I know some Open source enthusiast might feel horrible for what I am about to say, but, there are things that are more important than FOSS community. Just my thoughts.
