Bio-digital convergence is a term the transhumanists love. This is because the ability to interface between human biology and man-made DIGITAL synthetic biology opens the doors to many sinister applications. The first domain this manifests in is bio-sensing. Nanorobots literally as small as a virus can be programmed to detect 'bio-markers' inside your body. Gaining intelligence about your biology and health. Somewhat like in China, nanotechnology (very soon) could literally detect if you lose focus in a classroom, or if you disagree with someone you're watching. Digital advances can allow the integration of AI with these nanorobots to provide intelligence. Applications for integrations with AI may include reading the genetic sequences of organisms and then re-programming or manipulating DNA.
