Scholastic Is Sexualizing Our Children – Sign the Petition to Remove Gender Ideology from School Book Fairs Now Parents, Scholastic, the nation's largest school book fair company, has betrayed our trust. What used to be safe, wholesome book fairs with classics like "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has turned into something dangerous. Scholastic is recommending a book about a non-binary kid for eight-year-olds. They push "Heartstopper" for ages eleven and up, described as "Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love." And "Boy Like Me" tells young readers about two boys falling in love with sparks flying in a teenage romance. This is not harmless. Scholastic is sexualizing children who are far too young to consent, injecting gender ideology and LGBTQ activism straight into elementary and middle school book fairs during school hours with the school's implied approval. Many parents never even see the full book list ahead of time. These ideas follow kids into classrooms, locker rooms, sleepovers and everywhere else. Enough is enough. Scholastic must remove all books and materials pushing gender ideology from elementary and middle school book fairs. Parents must get complete book lists in advance with real time to review them.
