The house belongs to its rightful owners once again - #WeThePeople. For generations in America, eagle plaques were sometimes placed above homes once the mortgage had been paid off, a quiet declaration that the debt was settled, that the bank no longer owned the roof over your head, that the home truly belonged to the family that lived within it.
