I can't let this slide. Tillamook's most basic ice cream is made from gums, natural flavors, and GMO sugar, and their cheeses use non-animal rennet. REAL cheese will say "animal rennet," which is nearly impossible to find in the US, and why people are choosing to seek out European cheeses instead. Tillamook's "we're some great American brand" is phony marketing. They are also certified Halal, which turns a lot of consumers off. If you dig deep, they are being weird, cautious, and selective about how they explain their fermentation process. If you look closely, the FAQ language does not rule out GMO-based production methods. It only tells you how the finished ingredient is classified for labeling purposes. This may be fine for some people, but it's not okay for me. My science and wellness folks may find this read interesting. ⤵️
