I've learned to make the best of my abuse... https://gab.com/Onideus/posts/110213146354059134 It's the whole reason I can write like I can. Most of my recovery from abuse has come from adjusting my perceptions away from existing norms. For example I used to think "justice" was like "punishing people"... but I eventually reshifted that perspective in a way where I now see "justice" as "learning from experience and then sharing those lessons". The more you can help others to avoid the traps that you fell into, the more you will thwart evil intent and THAT is justice. Justice is the prevention of evil through shared education and experience. Most of all the stupid shit going on in the world... it can be ended with words. That's why they fear them so much. That's why they're constantly deplatforming and black balling people. Words are the most effective weapon we have against evil! That's why it's the FIRST amendment! And using the "Word of God", that's the best weapon against evil intent. That's Word ~of~ God... meaning, God didn't write the Bible, those aren't his words directly. Rather God explained shit to humans and then humans wrote it down... our understanding ~of~ God. Because every last one of us is born with an effective "God box" inside of ourselves. Put a human in a situation they can't get out of and they will be instinctively driven to seeking God to save them. And likewise, humans are driven to emulate their perceptions of God as a means of attaining greatness and power. As a means to advance. Such as when they start building towers. History has shown us that those towers crumble, that evil is unsustainable, if we try to rely on it all we get is destruction. On the flip side, the stuff Jesus taught us is not only sustainable but it can evolve our awareness further. That's why we suddenly started accomplishing so much, so fast. Because we wanted to be like Jesus... to educate, to relieve suffering, to stop evil, to sacrifice as needed, to stand up to anything even in the face of death. There's no greater role model in human history. My writing was mediocre at best before I started using Christianity as my foundation. I used to be more like, "blunt force sarcasm" and now I'm more like "easy going optimism". It's a good mentality to work with, feels good! Let's you avoid evil's intent to incite wrath within you.
