Ahhh, reminds me of the days when I could still work in fast food! Before my back got completely ripped up. Imagine this... it's a Dairy Queen... it's the weekend... evening shift... during the peak of summer sales... one man... ALL of the orders... no help. The trick, is to not think, while thinking! That is, you have to make your thoughts work like timers, so it's like you're running dozens of perceptual timers in your head to know exactly what to do, without having to know exactly what to do. It's like creating autonomous automation of attention. You let your brain sort through the patterns and motion to map the most fluid movements and... HEY GUESS THA'FUCK WHAT?! DON'T EVER DO THAT SHIT IN AN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL STATION! Might not be a good idea. I'm just sayin! Even if it turns out there was more (compound negligence and/or engineered incompetency)... stupid move, real stupid. Especially in a crazy high traffic airway like that. They need to improve that mid-air collision detection bullshit. Even if it can't give a recommendation to climb or descend, it can give breakaway solutions that let them maneuver around each other. I know that's possible because I've had to do it while driving a few times. The trick is knowing the exact capabilities of the vehicle you're in... how fast it can accelerate, how fast in can decelerate, on what terrain, in what conditions, how much do the tires grip to the road on sharp turns, how does the grip differ at different speeds, how familiar are the mirrored perceptions... can you look in the rear view mirror and know EXACTLY how many inches another vehicle is from your bumper? You take so many base metrics into account and then you data forecast, you read ahead of reality itself. You expect the unexpected and continuously calculate it, so that if it happens, you already have a breakaway solution... whether it's a deer, a child, another car... doesn't matter... expect the unexpected collision and calculate your car's control accordingly so that you can maneuver in an instant even while not paying attention. Put *THAT* into an AI! #HashDate0125 #Newsreal #Weedstorming #Godwork
