Here’s the problem… Daylight Savings Time = BAD Bi-Annual clock change = BAD/GOOD Standard Time = GOOD Daylight savings time is bad for one reason only. That reason is because it’s unnatural. The sun is going to do seasonally what it has always done seasonally since the dawn of time. Changing our clocks twice a year doesn’t change that. Changing our clocks to an unnatural time zone, as in daylight savings time, doesn’t change that either. People who like the sun unnaturally staying up later in the summer, are going to hate the sun coming up unnaturally later in the winter. That’s what happens when you make daylight savings time permanent. We tried this during World War II and during the Arab oil embargo. People hated it. That’s why we stopped doing it. However, people who live in states that just do standard time year-round seem to be very happy with the results. The lesson here is that when you set your clocks, according to the natural rhythm of nature, people tend to be more content and happy with that. But I realize, this is a hard lesson for most people to learn. The learning curve seems to be unusually steep.
